The manufacturer obviously wants to improve this vehicle as much as possible, offering 2020 Toyota GT86 as a still unchanged model for this year. As we have heard, the first redesign should happen next year, so the 2021 model comes completely changed. This time we should be satisfied with small changes in details.

  • The model has a sporty attractive design.
  • The price is highly affordable.

  • There is only one engine in the offer.
  • The model has not been changed for a long time.

2020 Toyota GT86 review

There are no significant changes in the design of 2020 Toyota GT-86 so far, and only changes could be visible in details on the rear end as well as in two-tone colors that the manufacturer offers. However, there is long and sharpen front end, along with the great LED front lights and wide air intake below them. The rear end is sportier, with mentioned novelties on the trunk door and differently designed rear lights. The main competitor is Subaru BRZ Turbo.

2020 Toyota GT86 interior

The cabin inside of 2020 Toyota GT86 is wide and comfortable, with the greatly designed front row of the seats and actually pleasant for driver and passenger next to him. The rear row of the seats is not that much attractive since they have much tight and small space for the legs. However, the cabin is well designed, includes two-tone colors and chromatic details. In term of technology, there are things like automatic climate control, manually adjustable seats, keyless entry, cruise control, a tilt-and-telescoping steering wheel, rearview camera, USB, Bluetooth, and a 7.0-inch Pioneer touchscreen for the infotainment system as standard equipment.

Taking all in mind, 2020 Toyota GT86 should be driven on the same engines as before. It includes actually one engine that changes the transmission so the change effects on speed and strength of the engine. The base model gets a 2.0-liter four-cylinder unit. Connected with the six-speed manual transmission it will produce the strength of 205 horsepower and 156 pound-feet of torque. It slightly decreases the strength to 200 horsepower and 151 pound-feet of torque with automatic transmission. However, the manual transmission is less efficient with 21 mpg in the city and 28 mpg highway, while the automatic one is measured at 24/32 mpg city/highway driving. The first change in term of the engine will happen next year when the model could get the similar engine as Subaru Ascent.

2020 Toyota GT86 Release Date and Price

Since 2020 Toyota GT-86 is not redesigned yet and comes to us running on the same platform and designed as before, we expect that it will be on the market very soon. The same opinion worth for the price, which should be $26,500 as before. However, expect a few small surprises in this model, but nothing particularly important.
