2020 Subaru Legacy is one of greatest new sedans that was represented in the 2019 Detroit Auto Show as a fully redesigned model. There are visible changes in the design of the car, as well as in cabin equipment, along with the new engine options and great new equipment. However, all things that we used on this model are there, this time upgraded and better.
- The model is modernized and redesigned in order to attract new buyers.
- There is a great new cabin with new equipment there.
- There are no impressive changes in engine options.
- The cabin is a little tight for an elegant sedan.
You will surely find similarities with the elegant sedans in class, like Honda Accord in the new 2020 Subaru Legacy. It is actually not surprising that Legacy looks like mid-class sedans, with Toyota Camry and Ford Fusion.
However, the impressive size of the car, as well as great design, surely promises great interests for this car in the future. There is recognizable trapezoidal gridded grille on the front, with redesigned thin lights and thinner bottom of the front end. The car has a sloped roof and softener rear end. Taillights are also redesigned this time.
The major change in the cabin is enlarging of the infotainment touchscreen panel from 7-inch to 11.4-inch. The cabin itself is designed to be more modern and attractive, with visible elegance. However, there are newly designed seats, wrapped in combination with the leather and fabric, and visible stitches. The dashboard is made of black quality plastic with details in chrome. In term of technology, there are few novelties, like new air conditioning, heating of the seats and USB ports.
There are a couple of very interesting and powerful engines that 2020 Subaru Legacy can get. The base model continues the same driving option, a 2.5-liter flat four-cylinder petrol engine with 182 horsepower and 176 pound-feet of torque. It is a slightly stronger engine than last year version and surely a little more efficient and economical.
It means that you will be able to drive it 27 miles per gallon city and 35 per gallon highway, which is, again, slightly better than last year. However, there should be another option, instead of last year 3.6-liter flat-six petrol model this year comes 2.4-liter turbocharged four-cylinder as a new option for this car. It has 260 horsepower and 277 pound-feet of torque. Its fuel economy is also improved.
2020 Subaru Legacy Release Date and Price
After releasing 2020 Subaru Legacy starts its selling season in saloons all over the US. The price should not be significantly changed, so expect that the base model will be able to buy for the price of $25,000. It is expected that the model will have interested buyers as before since the model represents the same attractiveness and modernity as last year models.
