2020 Mazda CX-5 comes after last year redesign, so there should not be many changes in the design of it. However, the manufacturer announced few upgrades in technology in the cabin and another engine under the hood. However, these changes should not change the final price of the model.
- The model is modern and very attractive.
- There is a new engine as optional under the hood.
- The model is not significantly changed from the last year and looks like other models in class.
- There is not impressive technology in the cabin.
There are no significant changes in the design of the 2020 Mazda CX-5 from the last model. It means that the vehicle should be similar to Toyota RAV4 or Ford Kuga in design. Especially the rear end includes the same rounded but with sharp edges trunk door and spoiler on the rear window.
The front end is almost unchanged, containing the same shape of the grille and thin and sharpen LED front lights on the sides of the recognizable rhomboidal mesh grille. The elegance and attractiveness are supported by a chromatic line in the front grille.
There are no significant changes in the design of the cabin in 2020 Mazda CX-5, but the manufacturer upgraded technology and equipment. Despite the great size of the cabin, it comes as a five-seat model, but with plenty of space for the passengers and surely impressive cargo space. In term of technology, there is a 7-inch touchscreen and Apple Store or Android connection. Higher trims will be even more attractive, with black leather on the seats and chromatic details on the dashboard.
There are few interesting changes in the engine of 2020 Mazda CX-5. Along with the last year engine, there is a completely new offer for higher trims. The base model drives the same 2.5-liter four-in-line engine with 187 horsepower and 186 pound-feet of torque. This engine comes with the same six-speed automatic transmission as before.
It also will be able to tow 2,000 pounds if you choose all-wheel driving system. On the other hand, fuel economy is great for this vehicle, meaning 25/31 mpg with a slight increase in higher trims. Along with that comes 2.5-liter four-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine with 250 horsepower and 310 pound-feet of torque. It also comes paired with six-speed automatic transmission.
2020 Mazda CX-5 Release Date and Price
Since there are no many changes in the design of the 2020 Mazda CX-5 from the last year model, the price could be the same as before. It means that for only $25,000 you can be the owner of one of these great modern SUVs. However, with all upgrades and changes, the price could be even higher than $30,000. Both numbers are not bad for the class that this vehicle is part of. Final releasing should be in the second part of the year.
