2019 Toyota Tacoma brings almost no changes in this year version, with the same features as on last year model and almost the same look and shape in exterior design. This is the third generation of the model, since 2016 when this generation was released and during those years it is almost unchanged and only upgraded. The manufacturer has not changed it much now either, but they included a new trim version called TRD Pro model, made for rough terrain driving.

2019 Toyota Tacoma review
2019 Toyota Tacoma remains the same look and design in the new version, too, so we do not expect major changes in details either. It remains the same aggressive look of the front end, with large mesh rhomboidal grille and large LED front lights. Above it are wide air intake and metallic bumper as a protection. The rear end has flat and simple trunk door, with vertically positioned rear lights and metallic addition for hooks and hands, since the car is made for heavy load driving mostly. The main change is in new TRD Pro model that is planned to be driven on rough terrain, so it has special Desert Air Intake so the engine does not inhale dust and dirt. This model also got few under skin updates, different suspension and fenders.

2019 Toyota Tacoma interior
Interior of 2019 Toyota Tacoma is the same as on the previous model, with maybe few upgrades of technology. The cabin is wide and roomy, for five adult passengers, adjustable seats and plenty of space for the legs and shoulders. However, cargo space is out of questioning when it is Toyota trucks about, while technology includes the best in class, like navigation system, cruise control, audio and sound system, and 8-inch touchscreen positioned on center cluster.

When it comes to the engine, there are no surprises in new 2019 Toyota Tacoma. The base model gets 2.7-liter four-cylinder petrol engine with 159 horsepower. In case that future buyer wants something stronger, there is an optional 3.5-liter V6 that produces 278 horsepower of strength. Both engines could be matched with six-speed automatic and six-speed manual transmission, depending on customer’s demand. There are few interesting trim versions of the truck and safety system marked as “Good” on crash tests. The only problem with safety in Tacoma is lack of automatic emergency braking and poor headlights.

2019 Toyota Tacoma Release Date and Price

As we were able to see, there are no much changes and novelties in 2019 Toyota Tacoma from the last model, so the price should remain the same. The base model costs $26,000, but this truck is known to a large price range. Final price with all equipment could be $44,000. Competitors are also the same as before, those from light truck class, like GMC Canyon, 2019 Chevrolet Colorado, and Nissan Frontier.
