The redesigning of 2019 Lincoln MKS is not that interesting for us until we find out that this amazing change has been made by famous car designer Max Wolff, known to the design of Cadillac and Holden. This information changes the future of Lincoln cars and shows that it goes in brand’s styling direction. After the conservative exterior inspired the 70s, it seems that even in Lincoln things are going in a different way.

After the exterior inspired the 70s and details from this decade, the redesigned 2019 Lincoln MKS is more in futuristic and “American” style, which recalls on typical American crossovers. This is actually the most popular family car. Some chromatic details look like on Chinese cars and on some way, it’s close to also Lincoln MKZ sedan. All of these changes are in order to win the US market, traditionally desired for large and big vehicles, and with special interesting in luxury cars. Moreover, Lincoln pretends to go on the Chinese market as well, and all changes in redesigning are for that purposes. The platform for this car is from Ford Taurus, or it’s better to say, from Volvo S80, while the architecture is taken from Explorer or even Flex, both from Ford. That means a robust and big vehicle, but still hard and heavier than many from this class.

The new line of 2019 Lincoln MKS provides the Black Label interior, already shown in car shows. The new car is a compact crossover with luxury and elegant details inside of the cabin. It makes this car comfort and wide, but on some way warm and smooth for all generations. We can’t imagine the car from Lincoln without all those technology which we usually seen on new cars so expect sound and audio system, HD radio, CD player, Bluetooth connectivity, leather upholstery and steering wheel, touchscreen display and more. The special comfort is provided by adjustable seats and lumbar support.

The engine in 2019 Lincoln MKS is averaged EcoBoost 2.9 liter V6 also known as Nano for the base model which makes 300 horsepower, but we expect more from stronger EcoBoost 3.5 liter V6, similar to Taurus’s engine called SHO which makes 365 horsepower. It’s expected to be paired with six-speed automatic transmission and some knowers said that some stronger versions can come with a nine-speed automatic transmission like on Ford and GM cars. The all-wheel driving system is optional namely only on 3.5-liter version while the smaller engine will have only front while driving system.
