2019 Ford Edge is an addition to Ford’s long list of redesigned car, but also a special SUV model that Ford was popular in past few years with. It is actually an answer to high production of elegantly shaped sedans and sports cars made in the past, which were highly popular, so Ford decided to offer something different, but also highly popular the last couple of years. This time we have modern and sporty large SUV, redesigned to be more attractive, but functional with few interesting trim versions.
2019 Ford Edge is slightly redesigned model, with few optional trim versions which distinguishing this model from the last ones. The front end has rhomboidal mesh grille between large LED front lights and above wide and elegantly shaped air intake. The sides of the bumpers have small fog lights, too. The rear end is much more muscle and aggressive, with rounded truck door and modern rear lights, metallic protection on the bottom and doubled exhausts on the bottom. There are few curves and lines on the sides of the door, but those fulfill the modern shape of the car.
2019 Ford Edge has very attractive and comfortable cabin. Depending on the trim version it will be offered leather on the seats, in combination with quality fabric or vinyl. At first glance, dashboard seems simple, but it is decorated with chromatic lines and frames and has quality infotainment system incorporated. Center cluster is angled to be reachable and visible in driving. There is a long list of devices offered with this model, some of them are auto braking, blind-spot monitoring with cross-traffic alert, lane-keeping assist and post-collision braking, wireless charging, remote start, a 12-speaker B&O Play audio system and adaptive cruise control.
The engine in 2019 Ford Edge is 2.7-liter twin-turbo V6 with 355 horsepower and 380 pound-feet of torque. Together with that comes updated eight-speed automatic transmission with faster shifting and better and stabilized brakes. That is allowed with its wider wheels, too. Those who were able to drive this car on test driving said that the best driving performances and engine economy showed sports driving mode that is able to be activated in the cabin.
