2019 Dodge Durango is a new version of the famous model that exists almost 20 years through three generations. This time it is longer and wider than the previous one, with optional height increase.
As 2019 Dodge Durango shares the platform with Grand Cherokee, there are similarities with that truck, but only in few details. It is slightly longer and wider than before and has larger exhausts and lights. The front end has wide mesh line which ends with wide front lights and LED line below them as daylights. Below them is also wide air intake and rounded fog lights. On the rear end stands squared shape of the bumper and simple truck door with chromatic details and modernly rear lights that stretch across the door as a LED line. Below them are two 4-inch exhausts tips and metallic protection on the bottom. The car is possible to lift with optional rims and 33-inch tires.
It is expected that the cabin in 2019 Dodge Durango is as wide as on other trucks on the market, but the manufacturer put great equipment in it and combined with modern and elegant details. There is a perfect combination of red and dark grey leather, together with chromatic details. There is also very rich infotainment system and equipment that is not usual on the large truck as this. Besides the Bluetooth, Blind Spot Monitoring and Smartphone Integration there are a thing like Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Anti-collision warning and Rearview camera in all trims.
2019 Dodge Durango has three extremely powerful and strong engines that could be chosen by customers demand. The base model is equipped with a 3.6-liter V6 petrol engine that produces 293 horsepower of strength and 260 pound-feet of torque. The stronger option is 5.7-liter V6 Hemi engine with 360 horsepower and 390 pound-feet of torque, while the lasts options are a 6.4-liter V8 engine with amazing 475 horsepower. However, those engines have not shown extremely high fuel consumption as we expected. Average fuel economy is 13/19 mpg. All three engines are paired with the eight-speed automatic transmission.
2019 Dodge Durango Release Date and Price
As the manufacturer planned to make more than one version of 2019 Dodge Durango (like SRT, Citadel, and R/T) the price goes from $32,000 to more than $40,000. However, every one of these versions has its own features and specifics, so every option is good for a certain type of buyer. If you are one of them, you should wait until the end of the year when New York Auto Show will happen for your unit. The model is made as an answer for Jeep Grand Cherokee, made on its platform so it is surely a competitor of that model, too.
