2019 Alfa Romeo 4C is announced as great come back of this sporty, Ferrari-like car which had low selling numbers in last season, but with good predictions for the future. As Ferrari engineers’ boss, Roberto Fedeli said, they want to make car closer to Ferrari, but with many improvements in the engine.
In order to make much stronger and faster car, 2019 Alfa Romeo 4C will be made of lightweight materials for the weight of impressively 2,465 pounds. The final version of the car, as well as its design, is not shown, but it will be aerodynamic and modern.
If the manufacturer aims to make sportier but more comfortable car, 2019 Alfa Romeo 4C simply should be improved and redesigned in the cabin, too. The reason is critics that the last model got about thigh and not really a comfortable cabin, with many unnecessary things and equipment. We expect at least adjustable seats and approachable dashboard and the cabin, with much hard-drive steering.
According to Roberto Fedeli, 2019 Alfa Romeo 4C will have stronger and more efficient engine, but he did not explain or even gave a clue which type it could be. Let’s remember, the current model has 1.7-liter turbocharged petrol unit with 237 horsepower and 257 pound-feet of torque. That engine could be able to increase the speed for only 4.1 seconds, but it seems that it was not fast and strong enough. Fedeli said that new engine will make this car closer to Ferrari. However, the most interesting thing about this new engine is its transmission. As Fedeli said, the new 4C will not have a manual transmission at all. The reason for that is only two models of California Roadster with the manual transmission ordered last year even though Alfa spend near $14 million to improve their last version of the manual stitch. In case that you are worried about other models that will be made in this factory, like Maserati or Ferrari, yes, they will not have a manual transmission in the future either.
2019 Alfa Romeo 4C
Reviewers and journalists were very strict to last models of Romeo, that we can expect hard and not really pleasant days for 2019 Alfa Romeo 4C. They said that Romeo 4C is too hard for controlling and driving, has a tight and maybe too cramped cabin, together with the twitchy steering wheel, so new Romeo must be much better. Even the price of $55,000 does not promise more interests for this vehicle, knowing that there are cheaper or better sporty cars on the market, like Toyota GT86, Jaguar F-Type, Porsche Cayman, and Subaru BRZ Turbo.
