We are honored to tell you that the 2018 Ford Focus Electric will come on the market soon. For those who don’t know, the Focus Electric is a vehicle produced by Ford Motor Company. The vehicle came on the U.S. market first and after one year, the customers in Europe also were delighted with this excellent model. This is actually the company’s very first all-electric passenger car. This model is based on the regular third generation of Focus. The standard focus and the Focus Electric share the same glider, so basically everything else is pretty much the same, except the engine of course. The vehicle was originally launched three years ago, and the company will soon launch the refreshed variant of the model which gained popularity very quickly. It will arrive with some minor changes inside and outside, but the engine will remain unchanged.
The exterior design of the 2018 Ford Focus Electric has undergone several changes in terms of exterior and most of them took place on the front fascia of the car. The front end will look a bit different now thanks to the newly designed headlights and new grille which now arrives without squashed-like variation. When you look at the rear end of the car, it will be difficult to notice changes at all, but it was slightly redesigned as well. The newcomer will arrive with enhanced aerodynamics. It will be equipped with a set of 17-inch wheels and Michelin Energy Saver tires. Simply put, the exterior design of the 2018 Ford Focus Electric will be almost the same as the exterior of the regular Focus. We must admit that we haven’t noticed any changes at the very first sight.
2018 Ford Focus Electric Interior
Just like the exterior, the things haven’t changed significantly inside of the cabin apart from a couple of new details. The overall design and layout of the center stack will be the same as in the regular Focus with MyFord touchscreen. However, the newcomer will have a refreshed instrument cluster, with a center-mounted speedometer and two LCD screens on both sides. The cargo space will be a bit smaller because of the large battery pack placed behind the rear seats. Don’t worry, there will be a hidden storage compartment under the floor, which is pretty tiny but it may serve.
It has the same interior as the standard Focus; it looks the same as the standard Focus, but what about its engine? The 2018 Focus Electric is battery powered. It arrives with a state-of-the-art lithium-ion battery which can be fully recharged. When it comes to the Ford Focus Electric, you don’t have to worry about going to gas station or about oil change. The engine achieves 110 mpg in city and 99 mpg on the highway. The engine is coupled to an automatic transmission and the power is sent to all wheels.
