Since 2019 Kia Sportage represents an only mid-cycle redesigned fourth generation of the model, we should not expect many changes in it, except the usual updates in design and cabin equipment. Looking at the exterior design there are almost the same details on the bumpers and doors and not many differences from that. In terms of the engine strength and type, there could be expected few changes, but the manufacturer is still driving this version covered, meaning that we should expect more details before the model is finally revealed.

Exterior

2019 Kia Sportage was showed on test driving by now, covered with thick black protection so we were not able to see how it actually look like. However, since the manufacturer is still not planning to redesign this model, it is for sure that it will be the same as current model with only a few changes. We are sure that there will be found ice cube LED front lights and simple and flat front bumper with the thin air intake. The rear end should have redesigned rear lights made in shape of the LED line and slightly rounded and lifter bumper.

Interior

The cabin in Kia is almost the same as in the current model, but there are many improvements and changes in technology that manufacturer announced. The cabin gets new table-style infotainment system as new Ceed and new details on the dashboard. Speaking about the dash, it is not much changed, even the manufacturer has made an effort to protect it and cover with very thick protection on test driving, as we do not expect changes in term of technology as well.

Engine

There is no much information about the engine in Kia Sportage, but it is for sure that it will be a hybrid model, most likely 48-volt technology in combination with petrol unit. Not only that this engine has better fuel economy and better speed (which should be provided by lightweight materials used this time for chassis) but it also has much lower CO2 emissions than before.

2019 Kia Sportage

The new 2019 Kia Sportage should be on the market by the end of the year, or it is more likely, at Paris Auto Show, or before that. The price is not known yet, but we predict almost the same price range as for the current model, which is around $20,000. Competitors are mentioned Kia Ceed and Porsche Macan, at least according to the design of the front end.
