2019 Honda CR-V represents a tenth generation of the famous model that is made in this factory, with only a few changes in design, but with possible changes in the type of engine.

Exterior

As we said, there are no many changes in the design of 2019 Honda CRV from the last model, but knowing how attractive and interesting for buyers were previous models, we are sure that it will have its faithful buyers. There is the same short and rounded front end with wide gridded grille and large lights on the front end and soft rounded rear end with an additional spoiler on the top of the rear window and chromatic details around thin rear lights.

Interior

2019 Honda CRV remains the same impression and feeling of luxury in combination with slight sportiness in the cabin, with few upgrades and improvements. The cabin is enlarged last year and now has the same measures, with quality fabric on the seats and modern, but approachable dashboard. The seats offer more space, especially in a rear row, with 75.8 cubic feet more for cargo space. In the middle of dashboard stand new 7-inch touchscreen and new commands and buttons. Light grey color in combination with black provides the feeling of luxury.

Engine

The engine in 2019 Honda CR-V is actually the same as on the current model, at least in the standard version. That is 2.4-liter four-cylinder petrol unit with 184 horsepower and 180 pound-feet of torque. There is the second option with 1.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder that produces 190 horsepower and 179 pound-feet of torque. Future buyers will be able to choose between front and all-wheel drive system but the transmission is the same in both versions and that is CVT one. However, some rumors say that we should expect a hybrid unit as a combination of 2.0-liter petrol engine and an electric motor. That is actually confirmed in 2017 Frankfurt Auto Show when Honda showed their first CR-V with a hybrid engine.

Conclusion

As there is no much change in 2019 Honda CR-V from the last model, we expect that the price will remain the same as last year, so expect that it could be around $25,000 for the base model and that it could go over $35,000 for top trim. The final price for the model with a hybrid engine is not even predicted, but that will be known very soon. Among usual competitors are Toyota RAV4, Ford Escape, and Mazda CX-5. The new model will be on the market in late 2018.
