The new 2018 Ford F-350 is actually not new because of its same look as the last model. At the opposite of the F150 model which changed last year, the new car, if we skip the LED warning strobe lights and the rearview camera and some details inside and outside, hasn’t been changed since the last model. We always expect from truck to be strong and serve for carrying luggage and cargo, but this model will pick something unusual for this type of car – a capability for gentle and casual Sunday driving to the picnic.
There are three trim versions – two-door regular cab, extended cab, and four-door crew cab. With two rear axle designs (which means single and dual wheel) and two-bed lengths (6.8 feet and 8 feet), this car will be made in a lot of possible combinations and versions. There will also be five trim versions with different details and equipment. The standard model will have 17-inch steel wheels, a black grille and bumpers, black door handles, and running boards (dual rear axle). Higher version takes larger wheels – 18-inch alloy wheels, chrome grille, and bumpers, heated outside mirrors and integrated blind spot mirror. The highest version will on all that add an automatic headlights, fog lights, and folding mirrors.
As on outside look, the 2018 Ford F-350 cabin will also have a couple of different versions. Let’s mention some of them – rear privacy glass (extended cab and crew cab), keyless entry, full power accessories, cruise control, a carpeted floor, cloth upholstery, a middle front seat that converts into a center console, lockable storage with a power point under the rear seat, padded door armrests, an integrated trailer brake controller, the Ford Sync voice command system, Bluetooth phone and audio connectivity and a four-speaker sound system with a CD player, satellite radio, an auxiliary audio jack and a USB/iPod interface. Higher trim levels obviously will have more than that and if you really want to know, the Premium version will have a premium Sony sound system, for example.
The standard model has 6.2-liter gasoline V8 which produce 385 horsepower and 405 pound-feet of torque. If that’s not enough, there will be an optional turbocharged 6.7-liter diesel engine for 440 horsepower and 860 pound-feet of torque and all versions will be equipped with standard antilock disc brakes, traction and stability control, trailer sway control, hill start to assist, side curtain airbags and the SOS post-crash alert system for your safety.
