It’s been 15 years since Lexus has a true sports coupe which is non convertible. It’s been 25 years since the brand itself even started with the LS so we are like, why not celebrate with the RC which is a great car and the RCF! which is Amazing. Now this coupe is done like if the engineers take notes from the ISF, improved and learned by developing the LFA and then perfected it with the RCF. This compact executive 2-door 4-passenger coupe is certainly the Toyota’s bigger beast. The RC in this car stands for “Radical Coupe”.
If we start with the front of 2017 Lexus RCF, the massive spindle grille is just spectacular to look at, it is flanked with headlights with independent daytime running lights and then on the sides there are functional air intakes cooling the brakes, wheels and tires. On the muscular hood is a big air went for engine cooling. Or the rear end is a carbon fiber active rear spoiler that you can have with a “performance package” which also includes a carbon fiber roof. The wheels are 19-inch coupled with a big Brembo brakes.
The seats inside the 2017 Lexus RCF are very comfortable with a wrap around technology and they are wrapped with so called dulax it’s like leather but it’s not. The steering wheel is thick and the blue stitching and the carbon fiber interior trim is a really nice touch and it gives the “Oh!” to the RCF.
The 5-Liter V8 in the 2017 Lexus RCF is able to put out 467 horsepower and 389 pound feet of torque. The engineers revoked this V8 to create the feeling of an infinite power under the hood. The engine is mated with a 8-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters which as standard drives the rear wheels while the four-wheel-drive is optional. EPA estimates are: 16 mpg in the city and 25 mpg on the hwy. Speeding up from zero to 60 mph is done in 4.3 seconds while the top speed of this coupe is 171 mph. It weights 3.958 LBS which is still heavier than the biggest competitor BM Price
