The guys at blue oval are decided to release a brand new racing oriented 2017 Ford Mustang Boss 302S. This pony car is in it’s sixth-generation version for 2017 model year. Also this car will be very pricey that is for sure, but if you want a real racing vehicle which is buy the way forbidden from street driving you will pay a high price. However every 302S will come with a special serial number. The guys from Ford didn’t release any info about this car but it is expected to be basically the same like the last year model but with a new body.

While the Ford Mustang Boss 302R which is competing in the IMSA Continental Tire SportsCar Challenge have the classic Mustang stock exterior the new Ford Mustang Boss 302S is have the features which are performance enhancing like the unique hood made from fiberglass, carbon fiber rear wing and front splitter with adjustable features, BBS wheels made for racing with Pirelli rubber. This car will be certainly still based on the Shelby GT350R and with the performance updates it will look awesome on the track.
Ford Mustang Boss 302S Interior
You surely know how the race car interior looks, with not much or even not at all luxury features it is only equipped with the instrument cluster and with a racing steering wheel while the biggest feature is the safety. Well the 2017 Ford Mustang Boss 302S will have the same features with, Recaro race seats which are HANS-enabled, while it’s unibody will be tied together with a six-point roll cage for ultimate safety. The previous model was equipped with a window and safety net, fire suppression system with two-nozzles and steering wheel with quick release.

It is expected that the guys from blue oval will put the well known high performance V8 engine with port fuel injection, aluminum heads and block and DOHC 32-valve. This 302 cu in (4951 cc) is able to produce 435 horsepower at 6500 rpm and 400 pound feet of torque at 4250 rpm. The massive power from this engine will be transfered to the rear wheels through the six-speed manual gearbox. EPA is 15/25 mpg, acceleration from 0 to 60 is achieved in 4.3 seconds while the top speed is still unknown.
2017 Ford Mustang Boss 302S Price and Release date
The price of this car will start at $89,995 for the base model. It is expected to be released in the first quarter of 2017 with just 50 units in offer.
